it’s all about the passion
Founded in 2020, The Camarada Tango Quartet redefines the tango experience with a bold, post-Piazzolla approach—masterfully blending the soul of tango, a virtuosic classical vibe, and a rock 'n' roll edge.
Their performances are more than entertainment; they are an emotional journey that captivates and moves audiences to the core.
Founded in 2020, this electrifying ensemble breathes new life into tango, with original works by the renowned composer and double bassist Andrés Martín. His insights and stories provide a rare glimpse into the creative process, making each performance an intimate dialogue between the audience and the art itself.
Over the past two years, in addition to its regularly sold-out concert series across Southern California, the Camarada Tango Quartet has embarked on multiple tours across major U.S. cities, including New York City, Arizona, and North Carolina, as well as two consecutive South American tours. These journeys culminated in a recording at the legendary ION Studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina, resulting in the releases of Tango Bajo el Agua (2024) and Brutal (2025), both available worldwide on vinyl and digital platforms.
Beyond their dynamic touring schedule, the ensemble has been at the forefront of innovation in tango music. Over the past four years, they have created approximately 30 new arrangements of tangos spanning all eras and styles, along with over two hours of original music that push the boundaries of the genre. Their collaborations extend beyond the quartet, featuring performances with renowned musicians, dancers, and dance groups from both the United States and Argentina, further enriching their artistic vision.
Join us to experience the evolution of tango—where the echoes of the past meet the innovations of today, and every performance becomes a personal encounter with the soul of the genre.
