Charlie Brown Jingles & JAZZ Returns for a Fourth Holiday Season at The Conrad
San Diego jazz icon Peter Sprague leads an all-star band on exciting arrangements of Vince Guaraldi’s score of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
La Jolla, CA (November 25, 2025) — Camarada kicks off its first season as a La Jolla Music Society Resident Company with Charlie Brown Jingles & JAZZ at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center. Now a San Diego holiday tradition after three years of sold-out shows, Charlie Brown Jingles & JAZZ returns for two toe-tapping performances at 7:30 PM on Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20. Jazz icon Peter Sprague leads an all-star band made up of Sprague on guitar; Camarada Artistic Director Beth Ross Buckley on flute; vocalist Allison Adams Tucker; Tripp Sprague on flute, saxophone, and harmonica; Mackenzie Leighton on double bass; Danny Green on piano; and Duncan Moore on drums. Robert John Hughes provides engaging narration throughout the evening.
With Peter Sprague’s dazzling arrangements of Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas —and several brand-new holiday arrangements debuting this year—this December’s program is richer and more joyful than ever. First released in 1965, Guaraldi’s soundtrack is renowned for bringing iconic jazz melodies into the world of the Peanuts gang and their search for the true meaning of Christmas. Peter Sprague doubles as guitarist and composer/arranger, spinning Guaraldi’s melodies into infectious tunes for his world-class jazz ensemble. Renowned vocalist Allison Adams Tucker lends her vocal stylings to the program for an evening of holiday cheer at San Diego’s premier concert hall.
