The chamber music group Camarada, under the leadership of executive and artistic director Beth Ross-Buckley, this Sunday presents the music of Grieg, Nielsen, Sinding, Sibelius and Ole Bull at an evening concert at the Mingei, called “Nordic Landscapes.” “The music of these composers evokes the fjords, mountains, valleys and vast horizons of the Nordic landscape,” organizers say. One of the pieces Camarada will include in its performance — which will feature woodwind quintet, violin, cello and piano — is Nielsen’s Wind Quintet, composed in 1922 and first performed in a private home in April and publicly later that year.
6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Mingei International Museum, 1439 El Prado, Balboa Park. $30 general; $25 for students/seniors/military/museum members. Docent tours of the Mingei are available beginning at 5 p.m. camarada.org
